MOTHER is implementing Central Social Welfare Board funded Awareness Generation Project programme with the aim of creating awareness in the community on issues relating to the status, rights and problems of women. Its main objectives are to identify the needs of rural and poor women, to increase their active participation in decision making both in the family and community on development issues including atrocities on women and children. Survey conducted in 23 villages of Tumkur District. Selected 10 villages for the awareness camps. Based on survey outcome, it is understood that women belong to these selected villages have poor knowledge on legal awareness, sanitation and their participation is very less in village developmental programs. Hence planned thematic camps on Build awareness of women on health, legal, social, environment & technology and initiated the program in November 2013. So far completed 6 camps (25 women each) and the 7th is under progress. The feedback is good
