To mainstream the disadvantaged section of the community, collection actions are required. Community based organizations (CBOs) such as Self-Help Groups, Common Interest Groups, Farmer Groups, Village level committees and Farmer Producer Organizations are considered as vehicles to reach the disadvantaged and marginalized section. CBOs are formed on the basis of area of interest, activity, economic status or locality. These can be both formal and informal. To have collective decisions and actions the MOTHER follows group-based approach since establishment. These groups enable their own members to attain social and economic sustainability.
